Attention all fiction writers and playwrights: Do you love kids? Are you excited by the idea of helping children learn to write short stories with beginnings, middles, and (drum roll) endings? Writopia Lab, an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit that runs the country's best creative writing workshops for kids and teens, is looking for part-time instructors for our Hartsdale, NY location.

During the school year, workshops meet once a week for ten weeks, after school and on weekends. During the summer we run week-long, three-hour intensives. All young writers finish at least one story by the end of their workshop.

Our instructors are half camp counselor (energetic, fun and funny, warm and engaging) and half savvy editor/teacher (astute, insightful, serious, open, sensitive). We train instructors extensively in our method and are looking for published fiction writers (books, literary magazines, etc), including those currently enrolled or recently graduated from an MFA program.To find out more information regarding who we are and what we do here at Writopia, please visit our website at www.writopialab.org.
