Attention all fiction writers and playwrights: Do you love kids? Are you excited by the idea of helping children learn to write short stories with beginnings, middles, and (drum roll) endings? Writopia Lab, an award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit that runs the country's best creative writing workshops for kids, ages 6-18, is looking for a part time instructor/admin for our Greenwich/Stamford location.

Our instructors are half camp counselor (fun and funny, warm and engaging) and half savvy editor/teacher (astute, insightful, serious, open, sensitive). We train instructors extensively in our method and are looking for published fiction authors and/or produced playwrights. For our lab in Greenwich/Stamford lab, we are looking for a strong instructor and administrative assistant who also has existing knowledge and presence in the Greenwich and Stamford area, and would like to promote and grow with our program. The position is approximately 10 hours per week to begin.

During the school year, workshops meet once a week. During the summer and all school breaks, we run intensives. All young writers finish at least one story by the end of their workshop.
