Description

Attention all graphic novelists: Do you love kids? Are you excited by the idea of helping children learn to create graphic novels and short stories with beginnings, middles, and (drum roll) endings? Writopia Lab, an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit that runs the country's best creative writing workshops for kids, ages 6-18, is looking for graphic noveling instructors for our Los Angeles location, and possibly some of our off-site programs.

During the summer, workshops meet for single week, Monday through Friday for three hours per day.

Our teachers are half camp counselor (fun and funny, warm and engaging) and half savvy editor/teacher (astute, insightful, serious, open, sensitive). We train teachers extensively in our method and are looking for published fiction authors and/or produced playwrights. To find out more information regarding who we are and what we do here at Writopia, please visit our website atwww.writopialab.org.

If you are excited by the idea of joining a community of writers and helping children and teens learn to create stories through graphic noveling, please fill out this short form. (Don’t forget to attach your resume, cover letter, and publication history!) No phone calls or drop ins, please.
